During the game, you want to not only run, fight and talk. Sometimes you want to dilute the gameplay with such a wonderful thing as resource farming. But the AI has a very vague concept of resources, so it's pointless to try to collect wood to build a house, find iron to forge a sword, or look for money to pay for a character's treatment. But such moments can make the immersion in the game much deeper and more realistic. I propose to make the resource scale customizable so that players can choose what to collect, be it jewels, souls or pages from the necromancer's book.
